The Gravity Pocket

Made in 3 hours for Trijam #315 – Theme: “Pocket Dimension”

You fell… into something not meant to be found.

Beneath the surface lies a place where gravity bends,

space folds, and rules no longer apply.

Use your gravity-shifting device to navigate twisting ruins,

move crates, flip the world, and find a way back to the surface.

This short prototype was built under tight time constraints,

but I plan to expand it into a full experience.

How to Play

• [Arrow Keys / A/D] – Move

• [Space] – Jump

• [F] – Flip Gravity

• *Push boxes and flip strategically to reach new paths.

What’s Next?

Due to the 3-hour limit, some ideas had to be cut.

I plan to continue building The Gravity Pocket with more levels, polished mechanics, and expanded narrative.

Wow, It´s fantastic and very well done due to the three hour limit. In the top3 for sure. Visuals are awesome, the lighting, the gameplay is cool…, but I have some feedback (hehe):

  1. Music will improve a lot the game. With a couple of minutes you could have a loopeable theme to add at the game. It´s a pity considering the beautiful it is…

  2. Mechanics needs some adjustment. I didn´t use jump, neither boxes… The gravity flip is too much poweful and need changes. For example, if you flip again, the bar automatically refills. And in the long corridor with saws, you simply can go straight usig “F” all the time… With all this power all the time at your disposal, the game itself gets too easy.

  3. Maybe, I don´t know, the sprites are too large or the camera is too close, and you don´t see all the scenary. In this type of flip gravity games it could work, so… It´s only a “maybe” suggestion.

Again, the game is really awesome. Great job!!

hanks a lot for the feedback!

Really happy you enjoyed the game! Totally agree with you—music would add so much to the atmosphere, and it's something I'll be working on after the voting period.

Also, great points about the mechanics! The gravity flip definitely needs some tweaking to balance the challenge, and I'll look into making it less overpowered. As for the camera and sprite sizes, that's an interesting suggestion—I’ll experiment with it and see if a wider view improves the experience.

Thanks again for playing and for the detailed feedback! It really helps a lot.

By the way, that’s a nice touch about the torches when the gravity changes…

really good game! Perfectly executed due to three hour limit.

This is a really nice game and well executed, especially given the three hours limit. Awesome!

Thanks a lot! I had to rush the level design near the end, but glad it still worked out!
